Ivar Jung is a former architect and scenographer and currently working as a senior lecturer at the Design department at Linnaeus University in Kalmar, Sweden.
Before entering the academic field he worked with architecture, scenography in theatre and as visual artist. In all his work, colour has an important role.
The background for the study he will present at the ICA-Belgium symposium are his colour workshops with students in different parts of the world. He noticed that students seemed to have different associations with colour in different cultures. To investigate this matter and map these differences he initiated this study in 9 different countries that was conducted during 2017 and 2018.
